How the 3D figurine is made
From scanning to the finished figurine

Scanning
You step into the scanner and the turntable rotates a full 360° with you in 10 seconds, while the machine takes more than 300 photos of you.
Scanning, data capture and registration: 4–5 minutes

Creating the 3D model
After scanning, dedicated software running on a high-performance computer builds the 3D model from the more than 300 photos.
Creating the 3D model: 15–20 minutes

Refining the model
The model is refined for maximum detail in colors and textures, and prepared for the special printing process.
Refining the model: 30–90 minutes

Printing
Once the model is ready, we can print 20–44 models per batch, depending on the printer tray size. A precise print head moving horizontally above the tray builds up the model tenth of a millimeter by tenth of a millimeter.
Printing time: 10–12 hours

Removing the support material
After printing is complete, the support material is removed from the models, which are then cleaned.

Post-processing
The model reaches its final, finished state after polishing, cleaning and curing.

Come along if you're no taller than 200 cm, weigh no more than 150 kg, are no wider than 150 cm, and can remain still for 10 seconds. A gift for yourself, your partner, your family or your friends — you can even create a joint figurine in costume, for example at an event.
